Miguel Claros Casielles

About

Doctor of Chemical Science and Technology by the University Rovira i Virgili having done the research at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ, Spain) under the supervision of Prof. Julio Lloret-Fillol and Prof. Alicia Casitas. My research is based on the development of new photocatalytic systems for the activation of inert bonds such as C-Cl or C-F bonds by high throughput experimentation techniques (HTE). Over the last years I have been working in the synthesis and characterization of organic substrates in addition to ligands and organometallic complexes. - Experience in methodology development and route design for the synthesis of fine chemicals. - Good skills in spectroscopic, chromatographic and analytical techniques. - Skilled in the design and assembly of photoreactors and the repair of commonly equipment used in a chemistry laboratory. - Well-experienced in report and communicate technical results both verbal and written. During the last 4 years we have been published our results in the field of photocatalysis in three papers in in top-tier high-impact journals. Moreover, I have been able to attend to several congresses over Europe being awarded with the best presentation award in the XII International School on Organometallic Chemistry.
